Corporate Social Responsibility

At Powertec, we believe that sustainable infrastructure is inextricably linked with community development, social equity, and environmental stewardship.

Corporate Social Responsibility at Powertec

For Powertec, business success includes not just profitability and growth rate, but also our impact on the community at large. Powertec aims to integrate social, environmental and ethical responsibilities into the governance of the business as we seek to supplement the role of the government in enhancing social welfare.

With this in mind, Powertec allocates a budget of no less than 2% of the average net profits of the company made during the three immediately preceding financial years towards Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The formulation of the company’s CSR policy is undertaken by a Corporate Social Responsibility Board comprising of Dr. S Srikumar (our Chairman) and Ms. Sujatha Srikumar (Managing Director), who recommend activities undertaken by the company as part of its CSR as well as the expenditure to be incurred in supporting these activities.
